Hola! I'm Zoe. The founder, designer, and hands behind Zoluna. Creating jewelry is my way of connecting with the natural world and translating that connection into something you can wear, feel, and carry with you. I work with natural gemstones because they hold a quiet kind of power – something grounding, beautiful, and real. I’ve always believed that what we wear close to our skin can subtly support us – not just in style, but in energy.
Even as a child, I was drawn to meaningful jewelry. I still remember the mood ring I wore in the '90s – how it changed colors and somehow felt magical. That feeling stayed with me. Jewelry, when worn daily, can become a reflection of who we are – a quiet but steady connection to ourselves. I studied fashion for two years, but it was through working with my hands and following my own path that Zoluna was born. My love for Mallorca – the island where I once lived for a few years – deeply shapes my work. Its soft light, wild landscapes, and sun-drenched rhythm continue to inspire my designs. There’s something about the Mediterranean... it teaches you to slow down, to notice beauty in the everyday, and to stay close to the earth.
Why most pieces are hand-knotted
Most House of Zoluna pieces are individually hand-knotted between each gemstone. This traditional technique creates flexibility, allowing the jewelry to move naturally and rest comfortably against the skin. Knotting also protects the stones from friction, prevents them from rubbing against one another, and adds durability over time. In the unlikely event of breakage, the knots help keep the stones in place. Beyond function, hand-knotting gives each piece a subtle rhythm and structure. It is a slower process, but one that reflects the intention behind every creation.
Crafted to move. Designed to last. Each knot a connection.
House of Zoluna is entirely independent. I design and create every piece myself in my studio in Trier, Germany. From selecting the stones to the final knot, every detail passes through my hands. I also photograph each collection personally. Photography has always been part of how I see and shape the world. Next to jewelry (and dogs) photography is my passion.
Also: With every purchase you support more than a small studio. You support my long held vision and dream of building a sanctuary in Mallorca for sick, elderly and overlooked dogs and other animals. A place where those who are no longer wanted are given care, safety and time. This work and that dream belong together.
Sourcing & Responsibility
The materials matter. Every gemstone used for House of Zoluna is personally selected and sourced through trusted partners. We value long term relationships, transparency and responsible procurement. Natural stones carry history, and we believe that history should begin with integrity. Conscious creation also means reconsidering what already exists. This is why House of Zoluna includes a curated selection of vintage and antique finds. Giving objects a second life is part of our approach to sustainability and respect for resources. Working with the earth requires care. We take that seriously.
